I recently downloaded Double Dragon Neon from the Xbox Live Arcade and I have to say it’s a lot of fun. It’s very much aware of how bizarre much of its content is, and of how thoroughly steeped the original game was in the culture of the 80s, which I’m oddly nostalgic for considering I never actually lived through them. It’s probably just that everyone could get away with wearing headbands…

This week I visited a lot of new places. I went to the Bronte sisters’ house which has been converted into a museum. I also went to my birth town Leeds. Today I’ll be returning home. Bizarrely I think I’m more tired now than when I started my holiday
